FDA Posts New Resources for New Era of Smarter Food Safety

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has added new resources to its website relating to the New Era of Smarter Food Safety which brokers and their food importer clients will find useful.

Each of the Smarter Food Safety priority areas, called Core Elements, is now featured separately on a web-page that highlights its initiatives and links to other resources.  These Core Elements include:

• Core Element 1: Tech-enabled Traceability
• Core Element 2: Smarter Tools and Approaches for Prevention and Outbreak Response
• Core Element 3: New Business Models and Retail Modernization
• Core Element 4: Food Safety Culture
